Now Modality offers a five-button solution as well as an eight-button solution. Both have advantages, but the 8-button version will likely appeal to those who do not wish to switch from the traditional keyboard.
Modality Type 8 allows for the sloppiest typing you can imagine, and it also allows for typing in a very compact space. It is suited well to two-thumb typing, but also works just fine for one thumb.
And for those interested in speed, you'll be surprised how fast it is.
More important than that may be comfort, and this is definitely a comfortable system.
In its first release, Modality 8 is free, and who knows that it won't stay that way forever?
